Restrictions

Water Restriction Status - STAGE 1 WATER RESTRICTIONS NOW ON
2 October 2021

Recent rains along with some pumping from 15 Mile creek and the forecast of a wetter than normal summer have ensured that we have a good supply of water.
This has allowed us to reduce the water restrictions to Stage 1, this is the first time for several years that we have not started the summer at Stage 2 restrictions.

We will continue to assess the storage levels and if the follow up rains don’t appear we may need to revert to Stage 2 again later in Summer/Autumn. Keep an eye on the signs at Wirrinya, Henley and Warrawong entrances for changes.

Please use the water carefully as the supply is limited to the storages in the park.

We are in STAGE 1 Water Restrictions

With our dams full and the recent rainfalls our tanks should be full as well so we are lowering the water restrictions to STAGE 1.

Water levels have now reached the lower threshold for summer/autumn and we are now entering a period of restricted water use.

These restrictions have been adopted to allow all residents to continue watering but at the best time for water conservation. These restrictions will apply until rain refills our dams or pumping can commence.

For consistency we have adopted the same rules as North East Water uses across the region.

Stage Two restrictions may be implemented later on depending on our usage patterns and local weather.

What are STAGE 1 Water Restrictions

  • Residents can only use a manual sprinkler watering system on alternate days, this includes lawn areas
  • If your property number is odd, then you are allowed to water on the odd days of the month (even numbers to water on even days) between the hours of 6am and 8am & 8pm and 10pm
  • An automatic watering system can be used, which operates only as required within the hours of midnight and 4.00am on alternate days
  • You can water your garden and lawn with a hand-held hose (fitted with a trigger nozzle), watering can, or bucket at any time
  • All residents can water between these hours on the 31st of each month
  • If you are using your property grey water, a bore or well these rules do not apply. However please place a sign at your property to indicate such

Alternate days:

  • If your property number is odd, then you are allowed to water on the odd days of the month
  • If your property number is even number, then you are allowed to water on even days of the month
